Murder in Barton Heights

NBC12 is reporting a double shooting / single murder in Southern Barton Heights last night: It happened around 3:00 Saturday morning at the intersection of West Fells and St. James Streets. When officers arrived they discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Police say one died at the hospital, the other is expected to survive.

Murder on Chamberlayne

Update Richmond Police have arrested two people in connection with last night’s fatal shooting on Chamberlayne Avenue. Kevin M. Scott, 18, of the 8400 block of Tyler Lane, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. A juvenile teen female has also been arrested and charged. Investigators believe robbery was the motive in this incident.
