I’ve got three words for you: “High-wheeled. Bicycle. Demonstrations!” Head on over to Lewis Ginter for some olde timey events including: a barbership quartet, music by the “Titanic String Band,” horse-drawn wagon rides, reenactors, and a bunch of other period stuff. The title kind of says it all: the Botanical Gardens, including the sweet GardenFest of Lights, will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So, if you were planning on taking the family out to see the lights Christmas Eve you may want to reschedule to the 26th.

Lewis Ginter is opening up for free on the 4th of July. You’ll be able to tour the gardens, participate in a children’s parade, and listen to some live music. They’ll also be offering a discounted membership rate. You can read more and RSVP over at the Lewis Ginter Facebook page.
