Murder in Barton Heights

NBC12 is reporting a double shooting / single murder in Southern Barton Heights last night: It happened around 3:00 Saturday morning at the intersection of West Fells and St. James Streets. When officers arrived they discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Police say one died at the hospital, the other is expected to survive.

Self described as an “anarchist collective in Barton Heights”, the Wingnut Anarchist Collective, while being heavily involved in the neighborhood, draws frequent criticism. The group is simultaneously involved in food pantries and alley cleanups while monitoring police scanners to warn the neighborhood when the cops may be driving through.
