The Lakeside Farmers’ Market starts its second season on Saturday, May 2. The market had a very successful first year, and will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays through the fall.

Hills and Heights’ community weblog has posted a letter outlining the potential impact of budget cuts on Richmond’s libraries. The most significant changes in hours and policies that would impact residents are targeted at the Main Library in downtown Richmond and a long-time contract allowing Richmond residents to use Chesterfield’s Bon Air branch.
Church Hill People’s News reports that the city’s Urban Forestry Division is now posting their removal list of “dead and decaying trees that could be a safety hazard to the City’s citizens.” The April list includes 15 trees along a two block stretch of Lorraine Avenue in Bellevue.
