New signage for Virginia Union?
From Monday’s (February 6th) Planning Commission meeting agenda: Special Use Permit for Signage for Virginia Union University. I think that they previously had to get a similar permit to hang some banners. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public, but are, unfortunately, at 1:30pm on Monday (5th Floor Conference Room).

From the RPD incident report: Fourth Precinct Officer Prabhat McDonnough-Contreras recently responded to 2nd Avenue for a report of an assault and attempted robbery. Movieland planning to build additional restaurants / retail
The RTD reports: New York-based Bow Tie Partners has acquired about 4 acres just east of the theater’s parking lot to build two restaurants or retail shops. The land is on the north side of West Leigh Street, just east of the railroad tracks.
Books on Wheels at the Wingnut
This Saturday (February 4th) Books on Wheel will be at the Wingnut providing free books and bicycle repair. In 2011 Books on Wheels distributed over 7,000 books to Richmond organizations. That’s a lot of books.
Help cleanup Woodland Cemetery

The RTD posted this data set listing the schools with the highest percentage of Free and Reduced Price Lunch (FRPL) correlated with principal salary. Two Northside schools make the top 25.
