Christmas On MacArthur and Santa Parade
December 14, 2013 11:00 – 4:00 PM
4000 Block MacArthur Avenue
Jump start your holidays with Christmas on MacArthur, a day of family fun that benefits Toys for Tots. So make sure to bring an unwrapped toy with you.
Festivities begin with the Santa Parade down the 4000 block of MacArthur Avenue. This year’s parade features a marching band, a drum line, students of Holton Elementary School and Albert Hill Middle School, the Virginia State Police, the fire department, U.S. Marines, YMCA Indian Princesses Cayuga and Indian Guides Waccamaw Tribes, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, ACCA Shriners, Fireweed Farms Alpacas, antique cars, trucks and even a trolley. And much, much more, including a visit from St. Nick who will hear kids’ Christmas wishes after the parade.
Following the parade Susan Greenbaum, The Janet Martin Band and The Taters will perform on the MacArthur Avenue Stage. Other acts will include the Holton Choir and Band along with the Albert Hill Middle School Band.
There will also be scores of vendors offering their handmade arts and crafts. Vendors interested in participating should contact Claire McGowan at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 804- 864-0262.
And don’t forget: Kids who bring an unwrapped toy can register to win one of six brand new bikes!
Please help us make Christmas better for those who have little by supporting Toys for Tots. Christmas on MacArthur is now the largest single donor to Toys for Tots, sponsored annually by the U.S. Marines. For more information contact Mike LaBelle at email@example.com
