Feathernesters Tea Room closing

Feathernesters owners Marc and Tony have made the very painful decision to close the Tea Room and shop on Lakeside Avenue. The last day of operation will be Sunday, April 28 2013.

It has been a great ride! Tony has been a shopkeeper on Richmond’s Lakeside Avenue since 1995 when he started HomeCraft Marketplace. A year later the store’s concept was changed and renamed Huckleberries. For the last eight years Tony and Marc have been operating Feathernesters at 6118 Lakeside Avenue. Lakeside has been good to us…but things change…and life goes on..

There are a lot of emotions that go along with this decision – and believe us…we have been through them all! The best part is that we are NOT going out of business. What we are doing is changing gears and modifying our business model to better feature the parts of our business that we are truly passionate about.

Starting on Thursday, April 25 – Sunday, April 28 we will introduce our new concept: Birds Of A Feather Home Decor Show & Sale. The Show is a very special event in our new studio warehouse off Staples Mill Road near the Amtrak Station. We will ONLY be open for four days each month! Each month we will showcase a brand new look with fresh home decor, vintage finds, antiques, artist-created one-of-a-kinds, and an amazing collection of beautiful “junque!”. We will be presenting a brand new look focusing on hip trendy styles such as edgy industrial style, wonderful architectural salvage, and cutting edge European design. You will find a wonderful selection of antique and vintage furnishings, lighting, wall art, wonderful decorative accessories, great gifts, and seasonal home decor.
