Woman sentenced in deadly Garland Avenue arson

The RTD is reporting that Michelle Hampton has been sentenced to 29 years in prison for starting a deadly fire on Garland Avenue last June. Hampton’s ex-boyfriend (Keith Blow) and another woman (Jacquelin Anderson) were squatting in the abandon house when Hampton lit a fire on the first floor. Blow escaped, but Anderson died from smoke inhalation. She was the sixteenth homicide of 2011.

Hampton had previously made threats of burning down the house after her and Blow’s relationship ended poorly.
