Violins no more, groceries instead?

For awhile now, I’ve been hearing rumors that a local grocery would be replacing the violin store on Bellevue. And lo, someone sent me this: the impending website for Little House Green Grocer located on “Bellevue”!

Fatal shooting at Brookland Park & Barton

Here’s the update on yesterday’s fatal shooting at Brookland Park and Barton. Police say the murder was not random, but they are “concerned about possible retaliation.” The release in full follows.

No more Friday trash service

The Richmond Arena

The Richmond Arena was an indoor sports venue that used to be located adjacent to Parker Field, near where the Diamond is now located. Built in 1906 and demolished in 1997, the Arena hosted roller skating, the Harlem Globetrotters, rock shows, University of Richmond basketball and professional wrestling.
