Richmond Community earns SOL “flexibility”

Richmond Community High School is one of four schools in Richmond City (and 54 Commonwealth-wide) that have been awarded “SOL Flexibility.” This means that the schools are free to “try new approaches in covering the SOL content without worrying about a potential short-term impact on test scores and accreditation ratings.”

Schools with greater than 95% passing on all four of the SOL tests (English, mathematics, history/social science, and science) for two years straight were awarded the flexibility.

I’ll be interested to see what kind of interesting things Community will do with this new flexibility.
