Sewer backups in Bellevue
This sounds like a major bummer:
The Department of Public Utilities regrets to hear reports of an unfortunate incident. Thursday afternoon, June 9, as a result of a contractor cleaning the sewer pipes behind the 1600 block of Nottoway in the Bellevue neighborhood, water overflowed the toilets of some residences, resulting in messy clean-ups.
Luckily DPU is willing to help you cover the costs of the “messy clean-up.” Details on how to get some cash from DPU after the jump.
Anyone who has a claim and who lives in this area, please write a brief report detailing the event, and attach copies of any receipts for expenses you incurred cleaning up your bathrooms, and provide photographs if possible, and send to:
City Attorney’s Office
900 E. Broad Street, Room 300
Richmond, VA 23219Be sure to include your name, address, daytime telephone number, and email address if you have one.

I love this wording. Talk about a non apology apology.
