Secret camp found
This story from NBC12 about a secret open-air camp in the woods near Chamberlayne & Azalea is super interesting.
The camp is home to “dozens” of homeless people; one man said he had been living there for six years. The camps denizens had been given until the end of March to leave — but some remain. Nearby residents, one in particular, aren’t too happy.

I drive by the intersection of Azalea and Chamberlayne often and had no idea. There are always people panhandling there, selling junk too. Just half a block away is a notorious spot for drug/prostitution. It’s a tough corridor to drive through with my kids, but we try to explain that not everyone is as lucky as we are. Glad NBC12 did that story (DISCLOSURE: I work for NBC12).
