Exciting News From The Lakeside Farmers’ Market

Our own Lakeside Farmers’ Market is growing again!

According to Market owners Peter and Sharon Francisco, a large indoor space formerly occupied by Tool Guys is being converted into an interior space that can be open year round and feature goods from a local winery, for example, who might not be able to exhibit in the adjacent outdoor pavilion. In addition, an approved commercial kitchen has been added to give market vendors the opportunity to produce goods in a controlled environment for sale at the Market.

The Lakeside Farmers’ Market is also holding a “Winter Market” in the Lakeside Towne Center on Saturdays from 9 AM – Noon. The market season will begin under the outdoor pavilion starting in April and runs through December.

On another note, the North Of The James Farmers’ Market held last year in Bryan Park will no longer be held. According to a spokesperson for the Market noted, “unfortunately, we will no longer be able to host the Tuesday North of the James Market in Bryan Park. We appreciate all of the interest and support for this market, however, due to scheduling changes we are unable to continue.”
