Tastebuds American Bistro nominated for an Elby

Richmond Magazine is putting together new restaurant-focused awards called “the Elbys.” This is their inaugural year, and Tastebuds American Bistro is nominated in the “Rising Culinary Star” category. Christmas vehicular crime spree

Over the Christmas weekend the Northside was hit with five vehicle thefts and eleven vehicle breakins. Most of the breakins had valuables in plain view, and two of the vehicle thefts were idling cars. Use common sense!

3rd District School Board member plans to run again

Near West End News is reporting that Richmond City School Board chairwoman, Kim Bridges, will not seek re-election next year–a position she’s held for six years. Two other members, from the 4th and 9th districts, will also not seek re-election. 3rd District’s member, Norma Murdoch-Kitt, will be running again.
