Faced with the daunting health disparities that impact African American men, the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, is presenting the 4th Annual African American Men’s Health Forum, October 30, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Arthur Ashe, Jr. Athletic Center located at 3001 North Boulevard in Richmond, Va. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for check-in for pre-registered attendees. Routinely attended by more than 400 men from throughout the greater Richmond area, this FREE event is designed to serve as a clarion call to African American men to take a decidedly proactive role in their own healthcare.

The event will also feature an array of free health screenings, a free breakfast, a free luncheon, numerous exhibitors, a wealth of health literature, and free parking. Additionally, vouchers will also be available for free prostate examinations scheduled for a later date by Virginia Urology. Medical professionals will be available to provide general health consultations as well.
