Driver involved in wreck at Robin Hood & Hermitage arrested

This is kind of an odd release from the RPD. A driver who fled a routine traffic stop, then was involved in a wreck at Robin Hood & Hermitage was arrested today. The release is unclear if he then fled the scene of the accident and was only arrested today, or what. He was however slapped with a lengthy list of charges:

  1. Attempting to Elude
  2. Possession of Cocaine and a prescription drug (Percocet) with Intent to Deliver
  3. Possession of Marijuana
  4. Obstruction of Justice
  5. Driving on a Suspended License
  6. Operating a Motor Vehicle with Defective Equipment
  7. Probation Violation

Hutcherson was being pursued by police officers after fleeing a traffic stop when his vehicle was struck broadside as he ran a red light at the intersection of Robin Hood and Hermitage Roads. Hutcherson was uninjured. The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Richmond Police investigators have found the pursuing officers’ actions In-Policy.
