Volunteer for HandsOn Greater Richmond Day!

Nothing says neighborhood love like a big giant day of citywide volunteering. HandsOn Greater Richmond is throwing their annual massive volunteer effort on October 16th. Check out some of the Northside projects after the jump.

North Richmond YMCA: Happy Hands Transform the Y »

• Clear overgrown vegetation from sidewalk around garden area
• Create movable storage units/room dividers
• Bolt wooden lockers together
• Install wheels
• Decorate with chalk board paint and adhesive mirrors
• Freshen up 2 interior rooms with a new coat of paint

St. Joseph’s Villa: Let the Sun Shine In »

• Clean windows (inside and out)
• Plant flowers around campus

Henley Street Theatre Company: Backstage Prop Pick-Up »

• Load and unload props for transport
• Build shelving units for the props
• Organize the stage props.

Elk Hill: Make Our Home Brighter »

• Clean up yard by raking and weeding
• Plant some fall flowers
• Paint indoor spaces
