Sleeping woman hit by stray bullet
Yet another shooting in Richmond’s Northside. This time a woman was hit by an errant bullet while she slept in her Highland Park house. The RTD has the story:
Richmond police are investigating the shooting of a Highland Park woman who was struck by a bullet that came through the side of her house while she was sleeping in her bed this morning.
The shooting occurred at 1:20 a.m. in the 500 block of Hunt Avenue while police were investigating a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Patrick Avenue, one block to the south.
Also worrisome is that police found a “large number” of 9mm casings nearby.
