Bryan Park Centennial Celebration

On September 25th Bryan Park is celebrating its 100th year anniversary! Crazy! They’ll be all sorts of bands, vendors, and “more.” You can check out the entire list over on the Friends of Byrd Park website.

The eponymous Joseph Bryan practice law in Richmond and eventually purchased a huge swath of land named “Laburnum” — bordered by Hermitage, Laburnum, Brook, and Westwood. After his death in 1908 his family donated a second property — Rosewood — to the City, which became Bryan Park.
