Shooting on Barton Ave.

From the RPD noteworthy incident report:

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (SHOOTING), 9/6/10, 9:04 p.m., 3000 block of Barton Avenue. A male reported he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim’s injury is not life threatening.

This happened a dozen a couple or so blocks down from last week’s tripple shooing on Montrose Ave.

I’ve been trying to catalogue the area’s shootings this year. To help with this I’ve started tagging posts with a shooting tag. It would be interesting to start tracking shooting data much like we track murder data.

A 25-year-old man told police he was leaving a convenience store at 9:04 p.m. when he heard tires squealing and gunshots, so he hurriedly jumped in his friend’s car, at which point he realized he had been shot.
