Ginter Park Residents’ Association’s tree adoption program

We only have [a few] more days remaining if anyone is interested in adopting any trees for the 2010/2011 planting season. The City will not take any applications after September 1. The cost is $25.00 for each tree that you wish to adopt for dues paying members of the GPRA. Email me at districta2@historicginterpark.org and I will get an application to you at your convenience.

Our goal for this year was 150 new trees to be planted. As of today, we have about 80 trees. I have located over 600 locations that need trees throughout our neighborhood. If you do not need a tree in front of your home but would like to participate in the program, I will place your adoption at a location where your neighbor will commit to water the new tree until the root system becomes established

Thanks to everyone that has adopted a tree/trees for the coming year. Your neighbors, the City and visitors to our neighborhood will benefit from your efforts to beautify the streets for years to come.
