The National Night Out post

National Night Out is a community / police / awareness event that takes place the first Tuesday in August each year. Neighborhoods across the city will be hosting events to bring the neighborhood “out.” Below are the details for the official event thrown by 3rd district councilman Chris Hilbert.

* Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
* Cannon Creek Greenway, alongside the Richmond-Henrico Turnpike between Dove Street and Vale Street)
* A walk with Councilwoman Ellen F. Robertson through the Cannon Creek Greenway
* Special thank you on the Virginia Army National Guard, 180th Horizontal Construction Company, 276th Engineer Battalion for their trailblazing work on the Cannon Creek Greenway
* Free Food
