Driver killed by (possibly) random gun fire
Update:
The driver, William O. Ennis III, has died of his gunshot wounds at VCU Medical Center. The RPD are calling this a homicide.
Investigators need the community’s help in identifying three possible suspects who were on the corner of Belvidere and Marshall streets at the time of the shooting.
The first suspect is described as a black male with a low haircut who was last seen wearing a white and black checkerboard shirt and dark blue jean shorts.
The second suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.
The third suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing dark clothing.

At 10:13 p.m. Sunday, Richmond Police quickly responded to a call of random gunfire in the 500 block of Chamberlayne Avenue. Police found a driver of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
The driver was transported to VCU Medical Center with injuries that are considered life threatening.
Police are in the early stages of this investigation. Anyone who was walking or driving in the area and has some information about this incident is asked to contact police.
Investigators ask anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.





Turns out police believe the victim was not the target of this shooting, but just happened to drive through the line of fire.
