Free 4th of July celebration at Lewis Ginter

Pfizer maintains Sherwood Avenue facility

Mayor Jones announced yesterday that the City has completed successful negotiations with Pfizer to maintain their Sherwood Avenue facility. You may know the facility as the Wyeth building — Pfizer bought Wyeth in 2009. The agreement will keep 300 jobs in Richmond. City Council votes to increase bus fare

The RTD is reporting on last night’s City Council meeting, that Council has decided to increase the bus fare for the first time since 1992. The fares will increase twenty-five cents. 14-year-old shot on Rex Avenue

The RTD is reporting that “A 14-year-old boy was shot twice in the stomach this evening during a “neighborhood dispute” with another male in the 700 block of Rex Avenue this evening.

Shooting and arrest on 3rd Avenue
