Ginter Park native creates economic film
Steve Bannon, a Ginter Park native, has made a film about the economy that is “meant to shock you.”
bq. “When you walk out [of the theater], you’re afraid,” he said. “Fear is a good thing. Fear is going to lead you to take action.” And without action? “It’s going to lead to the destruction of our country,” he said.
The film has been endorsed by Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin. The RTD has a longer write up here.

This movie sounds like it makes some interesting points, but you’ve probably heard it all before, just not necessarily in one package with a strong narrative to tie it neatly together. It sounds like one part culture war (1960s hippie values bad, multiculturalism bad) and one part libertarian economics (taxes bad, welfare bad, regulations bad, Federal Reserve bad). Everything an angry out-of-power conservative wants to hear. No wonder it was a hit with the tea party crowd.
