32nd Living the Dream celebration today

The 32nd Annual Living the Dream community celebration to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place on Monday, January 18, beginning at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, at the Arthur Ashe Center. Richmond Public Schools students, bands, choirs and orators will join School Superintendent Dr. Yvonne Brandon, Mayor Dwight Jones and others to celebrate Dr. King’s life through words, songs, praise and videos. This year’s keynote speaker is Barbara Howard, wife of Dr. Christopher B. Howard, the current and first black president of Hampden-Sydney College.
