Dozens of Northside trees scheduled for removal

The Department of Public Works‘ Urban Forestry Division has posted their list of trees to be removed in January 2010 (PDF). Dozens — approximately 50 — are in the Northside, and reasons for removal include: severe lean, decay, dead, and overhead wires. The above linked PDF has a full list with species and reasons.

The city owns over 150,000 trees.
