Sounds like goat discrimination to me.
Given that American dogs leave 880 tons of shit on lawns all across America every year, dog ownership should be discouraged and HEAVILY taxed.
880 tons of dog shit going right into our streams and ground water, and onto the bottoms of our kids shoes and on their clothes. This figure is based on dog food sales figures tracked by the Pet Food Industry Association.
In New York’s Central Park, a childrens’ play area had to be excavated and the removed soil was so full of feces, coliform bacteria and worms that cause foot borne illness, that the removed material had to be treated as hazardous waste.
No family should have more than one dog and most should not own pets at all, because they have neither the space or resources to properly manage the animal.
Pet ownership has been pushed as a way to make citizens spend more money. It is a business and has nothing to do with the disastrous environmental impact of dogs on suburban and inner city neighborhoods.
Think of those 880 tons of untreated dog shit the next time you reach for a glass of water.
