STICK ATTACK!
A man was left with a broken arm and other injuries after being attacked by a would-be robber wielding what police described as a large stick near Richmond’s Shockoe Hill Cemetery.

“Give it up or I’m going to kill you,” the attacker told him before beating him repeatedly with the stick, Booth said. The man told police his attacker ran off before returning on a bicycle — still carrying the stick — and began beating him again. The man again fled on foot, leaving behind the bicycle and stick, and did not return, Booth said.
Considering the severity of the injuries sustained, I find the title of this piece a bit disrespectful.
I agree. the dramatic title exudes humor. it’s not humorous. it should be changed.
That was either a very big stick, or something else that could be mmistaken for a stick. And the attacker was more than crazed. He sounds like he was on pcp. I hope the victem recovers from this. And I hope the attacker is caught, before he strikes again.
