FYI, city livestock rules
Sheep, goats, horses, chickens: Enclosures must be within 200 feet of all property lines, which in most cases would require at least 1 acre.
IN CASE YOU WERE INTERESTED.

and no chickens without 50,000 square feet of space…i’m not saying that i follow all the rules but this really needs to updated
I’d like to note that my goat is not livestock. It is an alternative, carbon-friendly weed eater/lawnmower/flower-destroyer.
My horse is simply an eco-friendly transportation solution (more than your hybrid), and required only one Spanish shipment that used no fossil fuel in the 1500s.
And, the sheep, better known as textile providers, guarantee sweat-shop free product for my winter sweaters.
I haven’t yet thought of a category for all those chickens…

Lauren, how about organic alternative to eggs and poultry?
Let me rephrase that: eco-friendly, organic alternative to eggs and poultry.
It’s funny. The old ads for Barton Heights and Battery Court promoted that home owners could have a garden and chickens.
Do you have a link to the specific ordinances?
