Books on Wheels is opening a Thrift Store!
Ward and I are happy to announce that Books on Wheels is opening a Thrift Store in the Northside area of Richmond. We will function as other thrift stores do in selling you gently used merchandise donated to us from the community, but with a few Books on Wheels specialties to look forward to!
The store will be located at 302 W. Brookland Park Blvd. The store will:
- be volunteer run,
- have FREE BOOKS!,
- sell functioning bicycles,
- and teach bicycle repair classes.

I can’t wait. The building has been empty for while now. I hope that maybe they will consider putting in a coffee bar.
I would love to see the car wash dismantled and that lot used for something great. I wonder how much of the blue building is going to be used by the thrift shop. Hoping they paint it.
I like the blue.
It’s peeling and not consistent. Even if it’s just blue again, the whole corner needs a good scrub and fresh coat of paint. Most of Brookland Park Blvd. does…along with buried power lines, landscaping, nicer lights, trash cans, better shops…shall I go on?
E- Your right. I spoke with one of the co-owners she was very nice. I think she said was going to paint the outside.
