Pizza delivery on the Northside
I’ve lived here since August and I have only found one place that will deliver pizza to my house: Domino’s on Lakeside (even though their website tells me that I can only do carry-out at that store).
While I have no problem with Domino’s, are there any other options that we’re just missing?

Try Zorba’s in Bellevue (on MacArthur). Also, once Tarrantino’s (the pizza offshoot of Tarrant’s Cafe) delivered to our house on W. Seminary. The pizza there is awesome so it is worth a shot at delivery!
Have you tried DaVinci’s?
Assante’s on Broad (near the Lowe’s) will deliver to most places north of Overbrook Road. They’re pretty cheap and open very late too.
The real question is, what pizza place can Valerie have deliver to MY house?
Zorba’s also delivers in Northside. Good price and great taste!
You should try Zorba’s on Macarthur Ave! They have the best pizza and they deliver to Lakeside.
Chanellos over at the corner of broad & boulevard delivers to the northside. The delivery is not the fastest…but the pizza is some of the best in Richmond (behind Mary Angela’s of cource).
Assante’s is very good and has some other good food too… DaVinci’s is okay.. I had problems with paying them with a credit card… but that was when they first opened… may be better now…
Zorba’s on Macaurther
Pro Tip:
The lasagna at Zorba’s totally sucks.
Pro Tip:
The veggie subs and baked spaghetti at Zorba’s totally rock.
Pizza Hut will sometime delivery but most of time now they won’t. A couple of their drivers were robbed.
DaVinci’s on Brookland Park is okay. They delivery. But if you pick it up please don’t blear your car radio.
Tarrantino’s will deliver, and they have the best pizza north of the river.

I share your frustration. If someone would open something similar to Mary Angela’s or an artisan pizzeria on MacArthur or Lakeside, they’d do great business.
It’s not delivery . .it’s pick up, but I’ve heard Tastebuds on McArthur makes an awesome pizza.
We like Tarrant’s Cafe on Broad Street. Their Pizza is a lot like Mary Angela’s on Cary Street.
Does Assante’s deliver south of Overbrook too?
Also, where will/won’t Pizza Hut deliver? I can’t imagine them getting robbed on Northside unless it was right off Brookland Park, as the rest is mostly a residential family area.
Also, how is DaVinci’s food? I wasn’t even aware that place was there and I can’t find any reviews.
Is there a chinese restaurent on Northside that delivers?
Zorba’s is our choice for pizza delivery. Pepperoni with green peppers, onions, and extra cheese. It’s decent (much better than Domino’s or Papa John’s) and they are local.
Re Zorba Lasagna: I disagree. The Lasagna is tasty and generally large enough to split for two meals. Am not the type to post normally, but am grateful for the small business Zorba’s is and want to support those in my neighborhood. Also, the freshly bread that comes with each dish plus a salad, is awesome.
I’ve never tried to get Mary Angela’s in Carytown to deliver here (I’m just a bit north of Laburnum), but it it worth trying to get them to. Something tells me they deliver with the city limits on the north, but their web site doesn’t say.
We had Extreme Pizza off of Broad delivered last night (around VCU campus) and it was amazing…crazy and eccentric toppings that are worth the price
DaVinci’s is a great little place located on Brookland Park Blvd! I do know that the pizza and subs are terrific. Reasonably priced and quick delivery – generally. We use them about once a week.
DaVinci’s food is good. Their pizza is great, and they have salads, subs, and fries as well. The subs can get a little greasy, and I wouldn’t recommend the veggie sub for vegetarians (I believe they cook it on the same grill surface as the meat, and grease from the meat gets mixed in with the veggies). But other than that, I’ve never been disappointed. Their pizza is my favorite in town, and they deliver. Their # is 321-1011.
Davinci’s food is good, especially since it’s exclusively take out/delivery, however the service that they provide is often horrible, for instance… i used to order there 2-3 times a week for lunch and/or dinner, so they were very familiar with MY money. Once, I ordered, waited, and noticed after about 30mins that people were coming in, ordering and getting their food and ultimately leaving. I went in twice thinking that my food was ready, turns out the OWNER was just starting to PREP my pizza, after the 1st time I came in to find out what the problem was… they weren’t busy or anything. Also, they offer coupons but sometimes are OUT of them when you ask and the next time you come in and they have them, they won’t accommodate you, EVEN when you bring your previous day receipt and they remember you… THE SERVICE SUCKS. I go to JOJO’s downtown, i simply have to do it before I head home from work. PIZZA’s better there anyway… so is PICCOLA’S!!
