The cause of death is suffocation. Richmond Police officers responded to 1606 Monteiro Ave. last night on a medical call where Randolph-Coleman, 47, of the 1900 block of Wood Street was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Randolph-Coleman was engaged to her former husband, Nathan Randolph, who was shot by police early yesterday in a separate incident following a traffic stop. Detectives are methodically conducting their investigation into the nature of the relationship between Randolph and Randolph-Coleman and looking into all aspects of yesterday’s shooting and this homicide. However detectives want to continue to focus on only the facts and not assumptions as these investigations continue.
