Body found on Westwood
Richmond police are conducting a death investigation for a body that was found in a sleeping bag Saturday evening.
Police said the body was found by a person walking under the overpass at the 2000 block of Westwood Avenue around 6:20 p.m.
Decomposition had set in, and the body is at the medical examiner’s office awaiting identification and a cause of death.

Do the investigators actually try to match the remains with the physical description of missing persons on whom a police report has been made? Or will I be using internet search engines for the rest of my life trying to find out if the body of my missing boyfriend Benjamin A Lott of Richmond, Virginia has been found? He went missing last Sept 28, 2008. A police report was made to the Richmond Police, but it seems like no one has done anything.
Is this the same Benjamin Lott that was married to Robin Clanton-Lott? If so, I may have a lead.
Yes, he was married to Robin Clanton Lott from NYC, his mom still lives in Brooklyn NYC and his daughter graduated from a Virgina college in 2009. He worked at Wachovia. That he was missing came as a suprise to me when he did not pick me up at the amtrak train on Sept 30. I took a taxi to his house on Elkhart near Hull. He drove a black Saturn Vue 2006 or 2007 model that was found in a Hull street shopping center about 5 miles south of his house. I would like to know what happened to him. I tried to report him missing after staying around his house for hours and hours on 9/30/08 and coming back the next day. Is his case closed, solved, or what? I was his girlfriend since 2005 from NJ. email me also at sailgersor at yahoo dot com
