Fatal shooting Monday afternoon on Brookland Park Blvd.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting this afternoon on Third Avenue near East Brookland Park Boulevard in Richmond’s North Side.

Police responded shortly after 3 p.m. and found the body of a man with at least one gunshot wound. The body was inside a black Ford Edge.

Dozens of onlookers watched as police surrounded the crime scene and began their investigation. Part of East Brookland Park Boulevard was shut down.
