I am pleased the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay was able to contribute to this wonderful event. The volunteer numbers were amazing. It was a good day and a lot of good was done. Thanks to all of the volunteers and sponsors for an amazing event.

Thanks to the over 200 volunteers - all the RPS students, the Bicycle Assn. members, the neighborhood associations, Chesapeake Bay Foundation volunteers, Richmond Police representatives, City Council members and employees, and everyone else who helped drag 20 tons of garbage out of the Greenway today! This day of service benefits ALL of us in the City of Richmond, and the Greenway Committee wants you all to know we are deeply grateful to you all.
