North Richmonders alerted about shed/garage break-ins
A letter circulated in mid-December from Lieutenant Timothy Morley of the Richmond Police Department alerts Northside residents to an increase in burglaries to sheds and detached garages throughout North Richmond. Lieutenant Morley asks residents to be alert to suspicious vehicle or foot traffic in alleys, and to consider having the police conduct a site survey of your property. The free service includes a walk-through of your property and advice on how to better secure it; to schedule a site survey, contact Sergeant Hallema Mitchell at 646-4395.
Looks like that was only sent to the Ginter Park residents. No one in Battery Park got a letter.
I live in Rosedale just west of Bellevue and only got the letter circulated to me via email.
I live in Ginter Park and received the letter via email from Lisa Townes, liaison to City Council member Chris Hilbert. If you would like to included on the email alert list, I suggest you send Ms. Townes an email: lisa.townes@richmondgov.com or call her at 646-6055. Happy New Year!
We live on Claremont, in Bellevue, and we never received a letter through email or snail mail.
Send Lisa Townes (see above) your e-mail address and ask to be included on all e-mail notices. She is a wonderful person who grew up on Northside and she does an excellent job as liaison for Councilman Hilbert!
Thank you Carol, I will!
Never received letter but live in Northside and suffered a break in of my outside detached shed. They took 1 of 4 tire/wheel for SUV. Guess they needed a spare.
