Celebrate Christmas on Lakeside Avenue this weekend
Historic Lakeside Avenue will host the return of “A Holly Jolly Christmas on Lakeside Avenue” on Friday, November 14, and on Saturday, November 15. There will be 22 retailers celebrating the season with the avenue’s second annual Christmas Open House along the mile-and-a-half commercial stretch.
Northside residents are invited to stroll Lakeside — or hop a ride on the complimentary “Holly Jolly Trolleys” that will run up and down the avenue, dropping shoppers off at participating merchants. In addition to shopping, there will be refreshments and live entertainment; last year, more than 8,000 people attended this two-day event.
I absolutely LOVE the trolley idea! It works so well in other towns – and it’s free, convenient and fun! It’s the little things (such as trolley rides) that help promote the Christmas spirit.
