Public meetings set to discuss proposed GRTC bus changes
The Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) has scheduled three public meetings to hear from the public about recently proposed changes to the company’s bus routes. Two of the impacted routes runs through Northside — the Route 20 bus along Brookland Park Boulevard and the Route 22 bus on Hermitage Road.
A meeting will be held from 6:00 until 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 30, to discuss the proposed changes to the Route 20 and Route 22 buses. The meeting will be held at the Police Academy at 1202 West Graham Road near Virginia Union University.

I spoke with a rep in GRTC’s Scheduling dept this morning about the plans for Route 22. She says they’re looking at reducing, not eliminating, the route. Breathe a small sigh of relief if you’re as loyal/dependent to the 22 line as I am.
Reducing the 22? I hope they aren’t considering reducing it at “rush hour”. I already have to wait 35 minutes if I miss the 4:45 p.m. bus . . .
