Rosedale sets National Night Out event

The Rosedale Civic Association invites residents of the Rosedale neighborhood to join their neighbors on the lawn of Christ Ascension Church on August 5 for National Night Out. Rosedale residents are encouraged to bring their own picnic supper (and blankets and chairs) between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Cold drinks and watermelon will be provided.

Rosedale Lemon Aid stand raises $65

The citywide Anthem LemonAid event to raise money to combat childhood cancer was a success, according to North Richmond’s Rosedale Civic Association, which raised $65 with their stand in front of Christ Ascension Church on Laburnum Avenue.

National Night Out in Battery Park

Hilbert hits brakes on proposed roundabout

The Times-Dispatch reports that 3rd District Councilmember Chris Hilbert has asked City Council to block construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Hermitage Road and Laburnum Avenue. The Richmond Planning Commission approved the proposal earlier this month. Council has scheduled a public hearing on the issue for September 8.
