On Monday, the City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works will begin construction on the Highland Park Roundabout Streetscape at the intersections of Matthews Street, 1st Avenue, Rowen Street, 3rd Avenue, Trigg Street and Daniel Street (near Holy Cross Cemetery).

According to the city, the work will include the construction of the roundabout; resurfacing portions of the affected streets; raised median surfaces on several streets; new concrete sidewalk along several streets; and improvements to existing drainage systems and landscaping. Work will run through early January.
