9th Annual TV6/For Kids’ Sake Back to School Supplies Drive

For almost a decade, CBS 6 — along with Food Lion, Owens and Minor, Commonwealth Movers and Uptown Color — has helped to supply tens of thousands of children in the region with school supplies — 9th Annual Back to School Supplies Drive.

On Saturday, August 9, the Back-to-School Supplies Drive stops at the Arthur Ashe Center in North Richmond to distribute school supplies to area children. The event takes place at 9:00am.

Supplies will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis. Parents need to bring their child with them in order to receive supplies for their child. If their child cannot attend the event for some reason, the parent should bring a birth certificate for the child. The event ends at 12:00 noon or when all of the supplies at that location have been distributed (whichever comes first).

Central Virginians can support the drive by donating filler paper, pens, #2 pencils, scissors, glue sticks, crayons, composition books, spiral notebooks, rulers, erasers and writing tablets.
