Boulevard cinema set for Spring opening
Richmond BizSense has a few details on the new Movieland Cinema currently under construction in the old Richmond Steel building on North Boulevard:
A new movie theater on North Boulevard in Richmond will be showing flicks in early 2009, according to a mondo banner that went up this week. Bow Tie Partners, the NY-based developer, is calling the project Boulevard Square. The theater is slated to be called Movieland. It will be the only theater in the City of Richmond to play first-run pictures.
Bow Tie has new renderings up on their website. (Notice the small cars.)
The NY-based developer said it thinks that the theater will help stimulate development along the Boulevard. It also has said it wants to lease 6,000 square feet to a restaurant operator.

I like the European Cars and license plates. I guess by the time it opens and the way gas prices are going we will pretty much be Europeans……..sounds good to me!
