The Greyhound bus terminal at 2910 North Boulevard is preparing for a $600,000 makeover this summer. The renovations to the station, which once was slated to relocated to Main Street Station downtown, will include new exterior signs and a new food kiosk; wide-screen televisions and additional seating in the lobby; plumbing work; and a new air-conditioning system.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that the Richmond terminal serves more than 900,000 riders each year, and that about half of those riders transfer to another Greyhound bus at the station. There are about 60 daily arrivals at the station.
