Flowers after 5 extended at Lewis Ginter

Enjoy a Thursday evening stroll through Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens — along with music, dining and wine — through the end of October. While the wine tasting, music and food will move inside the Garden conservatory in October, the grounds will remain open until 9 p.m. On the second Thursday of October, Fidos After 5 opens the grounds to your leashed canine friends. For details, visit the Lewis Ginter website. Here’s a snapshot of the October events:

Thursday, October 4: Horton Vineyards with music by David Hood, Matt Walton and Bryan Sulser

Thursday, October 11: Fidos After 5, sponsored by Chateau Morrisette with music by Samson Trinh, Jeremy Hughes and Ryan Hughitt. (The Garden partners with the Richmond SPCA and leashed pets are allowed on this evening. A $2 pet admission goes to the Richmond SPCA; pet food donations accepted for Meals on Wheels’ Meals for Pets program.)

Thursday, October 18: James River Cellars Winery with music by Bryan Hooten, Karl Morse and Skip Gailes

Thursday, October 26: Prince Michele “Raccoon Ridge” with music by The Butterbean Trio
