We took the kids to Son Volt last week at the Garden and had a blast. I couldn’t believe how many kids were there! I’m not sure they can handle 10′oclock bedtimes again, but if they could we’d be there

I loved the concert, but the crowd at this event was awful -they talked about golf and business through the music and seemed to be there to drink cocktails and pose. Yuck.

I went to see Son Volt at the Garden because I really like Son Volt. Unfortunately, I think most of the folks there had never heard of Son Volt. The music seemed to be an afterthought for most of them. The beer was a big hit though, as if it was unavailable anywhere else.

    Hi Mark and Anna,
Sadly, I think what you two experienced is the problem with an awful lot of the non-profit music series in town. Selling booze and being a meat market for the old folks is the biggest item of business for most of them. Too bad some good bands have to play to that.
